UK-based sportsbook software firm Orbis has bought games developer NT Media in a deal worth up to £4m.
Orbis, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of the NDS Group, said the purchase price may vary between £1.6m and £4m in cash depending on future performance.
NT will develop a series of games to be integrated into the Orbis OpenBet platform, which is used by several of the UK's largest online sportsbooks.
All employees of NT Media will join Orbis and will provide ongoing services to the existing customers of NT Media.
UK NT Media founder Nik Robinson will join Orbis as creative director.
“We have carved a real niche with our backend gambling technology but we recognise a need to enhance our offering to existing and new customers," David Loveday, managing director of Orbis, said.
"The acquisition of NT Media now gives Orbis the opportunity to offer a full end to end service from game concept and design through to the complex backend software.”
Orbis also announced the signing of a technology partnership with Ash Gaming, a leading provider of interactive and betting games.
Ash Gaming, formerly known as Ash Leucker, specialises in developing games that can be delivered on a variety of digital platforms for customers such as William Hill, Gala Group and Gamesys.
