Betbull, the betting exchange site co-owned by sportsbook BetandWin and software firm Fun Technologies, has joined the Betdaq betting exchange network.
The move comes following Betbull’s initial technology partner FUN’s decision to pull out of the betting exchange sector.
Betbull will join 888.com, UK TV station Channel 4 and Hong Kong firm Citic PAcific as partners in the Betdaq network.
Brian O’Sullivan, chief executive of Betdaq’s parent firm Global Betting Exchange (GBE), said the deal confirmed his belief GBE had the “leading technology offering in the exchange space”.
“We are in discussion with a number of other significant potential partners globally and we look forward to adding a number of additional partners in the months ahead,” O’Sullivn a added.
The Betbull deal officially marks the end of FUN’s involvement with the betting exchange sector.
FUN began life as betting exchange software firm Columbia Exchange Systems, before moving into skill gaming through the acquisition of US firm SkillJam.
Since then it has bought sports information firm Don Best and fantasy gaming site Fanball, and it now plans to concentrate on these three areas.
FUN will maintain its 24.6% ownership position in Betbull.
