London, UK -- Sexy black is
the winning dress shade for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance at this
year's Grammy Awards (Los Angeles, February 13), according to public
opinion on international celebrity pool betting site AnyBets.com.
Fashion houses Chanel and Versace agree that an outfit in black is a
winning choice, and so do 37% of the players at AnyBets.com. According
to Chanel in Old Bond St, London, pastel green, salmon with beige,
gold, and black and white are also hot colours for a show-stopping
Grammy outfit.
69% of punters predict international pop diva, Sheryl Crow, will win
the award for her performance of The First Cut is the Deepest at odds
1:1.25. And 79% have bet that the category winner will be in attendance
to accept the award. Punters that believe the winner won't be there
will win a whopping £22.92 per £1 bet placed.
AnyBets.com is a pool betting website that specialises in celebrity
bets. Whether it is if Britney Spears will announce a pregnancy or if
Jennifer Lopez will separate from her current husband, AnyBets.com has
all types of celebrity-related pools.
For Best Album, most bettors seem to think hip-hop artist Usher will
win for Confessions, holding 63% of the money placed in the category.
Unless the pendulum swings before betting closes, highest dividends in
this category will be paid for bets on Kanye West's The College Dropout
taking just 3% of public opinion.
John Mayer's Daughter is currently the favourite with 58% of the
money placed for Best Song. C. Smith and Kanye West are the long shots
in that category for Jesus Walks - a US$1 bet would net a US$14.30
dividend.
"The Grammy Awards offer fantastic opportunities for customers to
win some big money. There are a small number of nominees in each
category so the odds are relatively good," said a spokesperson for
Anybets.com.
Grammy pool betting closes February 14, 2005 at 00:50 GMT. Winners will be paid out the next day.
