Casino operator Stanley Leisure has made yet another
investment in the growing online gaming market, securing its foothold
in the $20 billion dollar interactive gambling industry. Stanley, which
purchased the Acropolis Casinos brand in 1999, has re-launched the site to the US market using technology provided by gaming software giant Playtech.
“We are delighted to be able to offer our existing and new customers
the benefits that Playtech brings to the world of online gaming
entertainment. Acropolis and the planned Stanley Entertainment brands
being integrated with the software, will utilize the latest technology
to offer products including poker, bingo and fixed odds games. We will
soon be in a position to present an entire suite,” according to
Jonathan Steinberg, Head of Operations for Stanley’s Interactive Gaming.
Stanley Leisure plc (LSE:SLY) is the UK’s largest casino operator
with 41 casinos. Stanley owns and operates exclusive casinos throughout
Britain including the world famous Crockfords Casino.
Stanley’s online casino operates through their wholly owned
subsidiary Stanley Entertainment N.V. Their online casinos have
unprecedented credibility in the interactive gaming market through
their association with Stanley Leisure plc and the company’s extensive
terrestrial casino and betting shop experience.
“Stanley is about entertainment. We don’t believe that an online
casino experience has to be the next-best thing to a bricks and mortar
casino experience. We know both sides of gaming, and while the
experiences are different online and off, the entertainment value can
be extraordinarily rich in each,” continues Steinberg.
