We should see details of a gambling plan before the week is over.
Kansas lawmakers say they will introduce a bill to allow expanded gaming, even though they don't think they have the votes needed to guarantee it passing.
Senate leaders have been talking about a plan with two destination casinos and slot machines at horse and dog tracks. Senate President Steve Morris says, expanded gambling in Kansas would help pay for a school finance bill that would put an extra $660 million in schools.
The bill was to have been introduced last week but wasn't because Senate leaders wanted to review the projected revenues and percentages in the bill.
