UK portal operator Gaming Corporation has continued its acquisition spree with the purchase of its largest affiliate site, www.casino.ie, for £60,000.
The consideration includes the web site address www.casino.ie and all existing players, database of registered users and assets of the business.
Justin Drummond, chief executive of Gaming Corporation, said it marked the start of the firm’s expansion into the Euro-zone.
And he said he expected the already strongly performing site to benefit from being brought into the Gaming Corporation group.
“We believe [its performance] can be significantly improved upon when the marketing and promotional expertise we possess is brought to bear,” Drummond said.
'We will convert the website, currently transacting in sterling, into a euro denominated site and will use www.casino.ie to form the basis for our expansion into Europe and the euro zone.'

Gaming Corporation said gambling.com generated net income of £105,000 in its first month of operation under new ownership.
And it also reported strong growth in its recently launched mobile casino product, which is operated in association with the UK network operator Orange.
Gaming Corporation said it had recorded over a thousand registered players in the first few weeks of operation, despite the service only “soft” launching.
There firm also said it would look to add new self-owned gaming sites beyond its Boss Media-powered online casino.
It said it was in negotiations with software suppliers “with a view to increasing margins and the range of gaming products” it offers.
