Taiwan based Online gaming company GigaMedia, parent company to Everest Poker, reported that second-quarter revenues were up over 30% on same period in 2007 to US$52.5m.
Operating income grew by 18% to US$11.9m for the quarter.
GigaMedia shares rose by $1.11, or 9.5 percent, to $12.80 in afternoon trading. The stock has varied over $14 from $10.16 to $25.42 over the 12 months.
Everest Poker is the 6th largest online poker room in the world, the site’s most popular language remains as English. This is spite that they do not accept US customers however.
